Star Wars is in a bad way. Ever since Disney took control from Lucasfilm the franchise has succumbed to poor creative decisions, leading to mediocre storytelling in unnecessary films. The so-called Sequel Trilogy is nothing more than a poor remake of the Original Trilogy, Rogue One is a film that nobody needed to see to know what happens, and the recent Han Solo film is something that nobody asked for, and judging by poor box office performance, nobody cared about. Now there is talk of a new trilogy that will begin production once the Sequel Trilogy has been concluded (with a remake of Return of the Jedi), and it seems as though there is no end to Disney’s Star Wars release schedule.
